Move-ins and Move-outs
Moving in or out of your home is a busy time and our Boardwalk team is committed to helping our Residents get through the experience safely. Due to these extraordinary circumstances, we have put together a list of items to help ease uncertainties during this process.
Move-ins
Associates will call you prior to your move-in day to go over the details and answer any questions you may have about the process
Associates will be asking if you have any symptoms, traveled recently or are currently in self isolation. If the answer is yes, we will request to change your move-in date to the end of your isolation or symptoms
We will ensure move-in times are well-spaced apart in order to limit large groups of people
Associates will be monitoring the elevators to ensure the capacity guidelines are followed and that elevators are being sanitized after each move-in
Our Associates will be wearing appropriate PPE, including gloves, and encouraging Residents to wash their hands and to maintain social distancing throughout the move-in process
Associates will be conducting the Accommodation Inspection Report portion first before Resident arrives at the site. All items that were touched while doing Accommodation Inspection Report will also be sanitized
For your protection, Residents will be the only ones opening doors as they walk you through the suite
Paperwork for move-ins will be done inside the suite and not in the Leasing Office
Associates will be providing a sanitized pen and clipboard for Residents to use while filling out paperwork
Sanitized Resident keys, laundry cards and other move-in items will be handed over in a zip lock bag
Move-outs
Associates will reach out to you prior to your move-out date
Associates will be asking if you have any symptoms, traveled recently, or are currently in self isolation. If the answer is a yes, we will request that the move-out be done without an Associate present and an Associate will follow up with you over the phone to go over any outstanding items
Our Associates will be wearing appropriate PPE, including gloves, and encouraging Residents to wash their hands and to maintain social distancing
Once in the suite, the Associate will maintain social distancing and direct the Resident to look at items as they are identified
Once the move-out is complete, Associates will be providing a sanitized pen and clipboard for Residents to use to fill out paperwork
Sanitized Resident keys, laundry cards and other move-out items should be returned in a zip lock bag and returned to the Leasing Office where they will be sanitized for the next move-in
Let’s continue to work to protect and care for one another. After all, we’re all in this together.
